While damage reports keep coming in from New York, we thought our readers could use a little more optimistic news: last night, Kyiv’s PinchukArtCentre opened an exhibition of the 21 artists shortlisted for the Future Generation Art Prize.
As a partner platform of the Prize – which awards $100,000 to an artist under 35 – Baibakov Art Projects is particularly thrilled to see one of our nominees, the wonderful Jonathas de Andrade, in the running.
Other artists on view include Micol Assaël (who produced a piece based on her encounters with Red October, our former home!), Pinchuk Prize laureate Mykyta Kadan, and the always delightful João Maria Gusmão & Pedro Paiva.
The winners of the award will be announced in a ceremony taking place December 7, 2012. For a full list of nominees and more information about the exhibition, click here.
