Today, you can catch the launch of the second issue of Format, a live magazine, as it unfolds from London’s Architectural Association. Conceived by the marvelous and multi-talented Shumon Basar, Format looks “at the shape that discourse takes,” turning the tables on the act of talking.
Issue 2 features a format that turns analyst’s couch into sofa; a format that resists the powers that be; a format that preys on your secret weaknesses and non-existent desires; a format that repeats what you know differently and format that says what you didn’t know you wanted to know.
More specifically, the program features five days of programming feature Baibakov faves Basar (taking on Chat Shows) and Victoria Camblin (taking on Commentary), as well as Baibakov alums Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige (taking on – what else? Spam.)
Format runs from July 4-17, 2012. For more information, scheduling and speaker bios, check here. The magazine kicks off today at 6:30pm, with Basar and Sam Jacob.
