The Art Newspaper Russia hits the stands

Yesterday, we mentioned how Elena Panteeleva had helped to create the Winzavod Review, a publication in the format of The Art Newspaper. How timely that the new The Art Newspaper Russia should hit the stands this same week!

The venture was announced a few months back when Milena Orlova (formerly of Kommersant and ArtChronika) was announced as the future editor-in-chief. Last night, attendees to the launch at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts got the first look at the journal, which will be published 10 times a year.

While the report on The Art Newspaper’s international site refers to a “web presence,” so far TANR’s website includes only the stats: “10 issues a year. Tirage of 10,000. Audience of 25,000.” (That’s a big crowd for even the Pushkin Museum’s foyer…)
